Kirinari Homeschool Workshop Expansion - SA

The Homeschool Workshop at Kirinari Community School which has been running one day per week is expanding due to demand.  There will now be a third fortnightly group offered on alternate Fridays starting 17th February 2011.  This group will be run by Catherine Dutch and will involve science, maths and either drama, sport or cooking (to change throughout the year).  This is a much needed services for homeschool families here in Adelaide to facilitate parent down time, study or work opportunities.
 
Kirinari Community School in Unley has opened it's arms and doors to the Adelaide Homeschool Community. Filling a much needed void, the school offers a day of attendance to primary homeschool students once a fortnight or once a week. The session runs Thursdays from 9.30am - 3.30pm and currently the children work on literacy, art (with a specialist art teacher), play and science throughout the day. The additional session will be alternate Fridays. The homeschool students form a dedicated class (max size 15) and have plenty of opportunities throughout the day to interact with the main body of the school (current school pop = 40 - so they love it too). The workshop is $35 per session, paid in advance term at a time. With the addition of an extra teacher the workshop can now run weekly and is available to families in a weekly package or fortnightly package (or 3 sessions per fortnight) to be flexible for all budgets and schedules. As describing 3 days per fortnight is complicated, here is what it looks like.  Attendance can be fortnightly, weekly or 3 times per fortnight.

All current families are more than welcome to extend their attendance to weekly or 3 times per fortnight.  
 
I'm so pleased to see this programme running so well.  The ultimate goal is for two days per week to be available to the HS community - very nearly there.
