Enter the Earth Hour Schools Competition!

The Earth Hour Schools competition is an opportunity for students to explore the topics of climate change and biodiversity loss in a creative way!

Students in years 9 and 10 are invited to film and submit a One-minute video, shot in the style of a news program, that explores solutions to the impacts of climate change.

Winners will:

  • See their video shared by WWF-Australia on social media to tens of thousands of followers!

  • Receive an exciting pack of goodies from WWF-Australia

  • Receive an exclusive screening of Regenerating Australia, the latest short film from Regen Studios (makers of 2040 and That Sugar Film) including a Q&A with renowned director Damon Gameau and an industry expert from WWF-Australia!

Free Earth Hour lesson plans and resources

WWF-Australia has partnered with Cool Australia to develop free, downloadable lesson plans and resources to help bring Earth Hour into your classroom.

These curriculum-aligned resources introduce and explore important environmental topics like climate change, support learning online and at school, and provide units suitable for Early Learning, Primary and Secondary students.
