Host A Community Table Event

Australia is facing a growing food security crisis, with massive long-term consequences for general health, wellbeing and chronic illness. A lot of people have no idea how the food on their plate makes its way to the table, and they don’t have adequate access to fresh fruit and vegetables.

You can help change that.

By signing up to host a Community Table event between 17 and 21 October for national Kitchen Garden Week, you can ensure the next generation are given the tools to form positive food habits for life.

Whether you sign up as an individual, workplace, or a community group, the goal is to bring people together to share delicious food while raising funds for the Kitchen Garden Program.

That might mean gathering friends and family around the dining, BBQ, or virtual table, reconnecting with colleagues in the lunchroom, or sharing a meal with your indoor soccer group.

Kitchen Garden Foundation's fundraising portal makes it easy to track who’s coming, update your guests with event details, and collect donations. We’ll also send you loads of tips and resources to make sure your event is a success – including menu templates and exclusive recipes from the Foundation.

Growing and sharing good food is a powerful way to build social connection. But it can also be an act of giving.

When you come together to host a Community Table event, you’ll be giving children and young people the skills to take care of themselves, each other, and the planet.

Cheers to that! And cheers to you, for taking action to build a better food future.

Yours with gratitude,

The Kitchen Garden Team
