SUBJECT: home education research opportunity
CALLING ALL HOME EDUCATING PARENTS
We are looking for home educating parents to participate in a research project. The purpose of this research is to explore how home educating families prepare their children for further education, training and work.
[Edit 18/3/2022] Thanks to everyone who responded - this study is now full!
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME?
We are inviting parents who have
home educated at least one child in Australia for the last three years of their compulsory education, and
helped them transition from home education to further education, training, and then to work in the last five years.
You can participate if you are registered to home educate in any state or territory of Australia. In fact, we encourage participants from all states to respond so we can have a good understanding of the differences in each state.
WHAT WILL YOU ASK ME TO DO?
Your participation will involve a personal interview with the main researcher via zoom for
approximately one hour. The interview will be recorded. The researcher will ask you questions about what you thought was important in preparing your child, and what the experience was like for both you and your child.
Participation is entirely voluntary. For more information, please download and read the attached information sheet.
Thank you!
