Improving Supports for Children and Young People with Disability to Keep them Safe.
Families and Caregivers are invited to the Australian Human Rights Commission & CYDA focus group:
Improving Supports for Children and Young People with Disability to Keep them Safe.
The session is an opportunity to tell us what you feel is needed to help keep your child safe – at home, in school and in the community.
The National Children’s Commissioner, Anne Hollonds will attend the session to hear directly from you about what existing services and supports are working well.
Commissioner Hollonds also wants to hear from you about what more is needed.
Your combined feedback with other families and caregivers will help shape our national policy for protecting Australia’s children, in particular keeping children and young people with disability safe.
You don’t need to have expertise in a particular area, we simply want to hear from families and caregivers of children and young people with disability with lived experience.
Each month, CYDA facilitates paid Lived-X consultation focus groups for young people or families and caregivers about what an ideal future looks like for them and how CYDA might advocate for that future.
